The Cycle Counter will accurately verify quantities, location, and/or identification of purchased materials/work in process and manufactured products as assigned.


Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.  

  • Work in a safe manner at all times
  • Daily count inventory parts according to the ABC list, urgent list issued by the Materials Department and the scrap report
  • Re-count, any quantity discrepancies between floor count and our Inventory Control Software System (IMS) electronic records, investigate cause of discrepancy and report to relevant management team members
  • Report any shop floor issues regarding part identification/tagging, part locations, etc., to appropriate department leaders.
  • Weekly, verifying packaging levels (quantity/container type) to the authorized standard
  • Operate forklift truck as required, the movement of inventory of raw material and parts
  • Assist in year-end physical inventory and other inventory counts as required
  • Ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
  • Available to work overtime when needed (daily and/or weekends)
  • Participate in Kaizen and GEAR activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Requirements:

  • Data Accuracy
  • Analytical reasoning
  • Inventory Control software systems experience – required
  • Microsoft Office Computer Skills required (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Ability to operate computerized scales
  • Forklift operating experience
  • Be able to work with minimum supervision
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to successfully interact with all levels of employees in a multicultural environment
  • Ability to read, write and speak English

  • Associates degree preferred but, at a minimum must have high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum three (3) years cycle counting inventory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated, high level of proficiency using Microsoft Excel & Word
