MTC houses key engineering, testing and development capabilities under one roof, enabling rapid turnaround and tight integration between departments (vehicle systems engineering, production engineering, predictive methods, product testing and validation, composites, fabrication and prototyping). Additional specialized services utilize MTC’s full-vehicle multi-post test rig, and a proprietary vehicle dynamics simulator. These services are further enhanced by the capabilities of a fully equipped motorsports department.

Position Overview:

Multimatic Technical Centre is looking for a Welder who will utilize their MIG/TIG skills and knowledge to ensure that all welds meet required specifications through appropriate weld inspection methods.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Within our Prototype Shop, the Welder will interact with Design Engineers/Project Leaders/Tool Makers and Apprentices, to develop high-volume manufacturable components that meet customer requirements. With a high level of competence, the Welder will perform their duties following all documented Quality and Safety procedures.  Particular attention to meeting project timing, part quality and delivery times will be essential in the successful execution of the responsibilities of this position.

Education and Experience:

The successful candidate for this role will possess excellent communication and problem solving skills and have the ability to lend their previous Welding experience to providing alternative solutions to tasks or problems as they arise.  If you have a minimum of five(5) years' experience in TIG Welding of aluminum alloys, have proven experience reading and interpreting welding engineering drawings and are familiar with detailed Weld Inspection techniques, you should click "Apply Now" below and forward your resume and cover letter indicating your previous experience and related skills.  Additional information regarding successful completion of your Lift Truck Safety Course and Crane Operation Safety training, would be an asset as well.
