Position Overview:

Multimatic Technical Centre Europe (MTCE) provides engineering and product development services to race teams and OEM’s around the world. As part of Multimatic’s ongoing expansion, a new body engineering group is being created in Coventry to serve our Niche Vehicles assembly facility and design needs of high end automotive manufacturers. MTCE is a leading contract engineering and vehicle development resource to major automotive OEMs and a growing number of niche vehicle manufacturers.

MTCE is currently seeking to recruit Design Engineers with a range of skills to join a new team delivering exciting OEM, motorsport and niche vehicle projects within Multimatic. 

Key Areas of Responsibility:

As a Design Engineer, you will be involved in the development of composite body structures and systems. You will be involved in projects through all stages of production so should be familiar with production and development methods. Knowledge of composite design and manufacturing methods would be a distinct advantage as would an understanding of automotive systems. The role will include the creation, sign off and release of technical drawings for components and assemblies as well as BOM creation, component validation and customer interface.

Education and Experience:

  • Ideally we are looking for a design engineer with 4+ years of experience, ability to lead multiple projects at the same time and the drive to reach challenging goals
  • Engineering degree required
  • It is expected that candidates will be proficient in the use of Siemens NX CAD system
  • Candidates should also be familiar with typical product development and part verification systems (e.g. FMEA, PPAP etc.).Multimatic offers a comprehensive benefits package, as well as a friendly work environment.
