Its UK based engineering division, Multimatic Technical Centre Europe (MTCE), is a leading supplier of engineering and vehicle development services to major automotive OEMs and a growing number of niche vehicle manufacturers. Specialties include suspension systems, vehicle dynamics, carbon fibre structural components, mechanisms and mechatronics.   

POSITION SUMMARY:          

The QC Inspector will be responsible for the day to day activities that govern the function of the QA Department. They will perform measurements of all parts requiring quality checks, maintain gauge calibration status within the organization and conduct and assist with statistical studies where required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Inspection of first offs, last offs, final component and assembly inspection, sub-contractor supplied parts and incoming raw materials.
2. Maintain records in adherence to quality systems.
3. Generate component and supplier Defective Materials Notices.
4. Be conversant with PPAP requirements.
5. Assist in machine trials.
6. Assist in gauge R&R studies.
7. Assist in collection of statistical data as required.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

1. Experience in a quality related field preferable.
2. Ability to translate technical drawings.
3. Familiarity with a range of metrology and inspection equipment.
4. Familiarity with ISO9001 : 2015 quality systems.
5. Computer literate.
