To provide supervision and communication services to Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality Departments to assure that products are manufactured utilizing current procedures to insure that design intent is met. Meet goals to achieve the company’s commitment of superior part quality and reliability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises employees in the Quality Department including Quality Engineers, Quality Technician and Weld Analyzers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent and Bachelors Degree from a four year college or university in a technical field, or six years manufacturing quality experience. With 2 years additional experience in a Quality Supervisor or managerial position for an automotive supplier in the metal processing field is required. Qualifications to include technical, analytical and judgmental knowledge of current quality control methods employed by engineering and manufacturing.
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquired or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis for variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factor analysis.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to develop logical detailed plans aimed at continuously improving quality levels and quality systems.

The employee is frequently required to sit, and occasionally must walk, stand, use hands to feel or handle objects, tools or controls; reach and lift with hands and arms; talk, see and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near machinery and moving parts. The employee may be exposed to the risk of electromagnetic fields, risk of electric shock and vibration. The employee will be required to travel and stay overnight on occasion. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet, but will be loud when in the production environment.
