Position Overview:
Multimatic Dynamic Suspensions is looking for a Maintenance Electrician who will be responsible for providing manufacturing departments with well-maintained equipment, while ensuring quality and the ability to meet production requirements.
Perform maintenance and repair work in either plant or grounds
Using variety of industrial equipment, tools and machinery, perform repairs and maintenance of production and other equipment
Troubleshoot in plant, offices all systems and grounds as required
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using hand tools
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards and defects
Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous
Maintain current electrician’s license or identification card to meet governmental regulations
Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand and power tools
Install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures
Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment such as motors
Read blueprints to determine location of wiring and equipment
Work from ladders, scissor lift, and roof to install, maintain or repair electrical equipment
Maintain spare parts and components inventory at appropriate levels. Inform Maintenance Manager of low levels or shortage of parts or components in stock
Solve maintenance-related problems with minimum interruption to production
Actively participate in Preventative Maintenance Program, and downtime reduction process. This includes following PMP schedule and filling PMP checklists
Make recommendations to improve equipment efficiency and cost reduction. This includes manufacturing, repairs and installations of parts, components, services and equipment
Participate in all maintenance related training in order to upgrade skills and knowledge to meet changing technologies and customer, government and health and safety requirements
Maintain due diligence in regard to environmental matters, minimize any potentially harmful accidents and work in compliance with ISO 14001. Follow the environmental guidelines for aspects as outlined in job training requirements
Basic Requirements:
Industrial Electrician License
Diploma from a technical college in Robotic Welding, Electro-Mechanical, or Automation
Completion of an appropriate blend of education and experience, equaling a minimum of 5 years
Ability to understand electrical drawings and diagrams, and diagnose various electrical problems
Experience with Motoman & Fanuc Robots, and Allen Bradley PLCs
Must have basic electronic and computer knowledge
Good judgement is required to identify problems, and make repairs
Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
Must posses excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
