Position Overview:

Multimatic is a privately held, global enterprise that supplies engineered components, systems, and services to the automotive industry. The company’s core competencies include developing and manufacturing complex mechanisms and body hardware, suspension systems and body structural components, and designing, engineering and developing niche vehicles.


Multimatic is expanding our Marketing and Communications team with an Automotive CGI Artist position to produce creative and compelling commercial-grade visuals for various unique projects. As a CGI artist, you will take an active role in diverse projects such as the rendering of unique niche vehicles, innovative automotive technologies, facility interiors/exteriors and animating complex mechanisms. Working out of the Multimatic Corporate Communications office, you will collaborate with a talented team specializing in CGI, graphic design, website development, video production, and writing, 


Submissions without a portfolio demonstrating strong commercial, automotive CGI experience and skills will not be considered. Examples of your work can be submitted in PDF format via this website or as a link to an online portfolio. Automotive interest and/or experience are a benefit, as experience handling the graphics “specialty” of OEM (Ford, Aston Martin, Mercedes AMG, General Motors, etc..) high-performance vehicles and race vehicles.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Develop, produce and maintain high-quality marketing visuals, including renders and animations of full vehicles, component-level assemblies, configurators, facilities and other assets as needed
  • Utilize the creative direction from the communications team and design studio in combination with experience in materials, post-production, colour theory and rendering techniques to create compelling and consistent visual messaging
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and all Multimatic divisions to support their requests and initiatives
  • Maintain and contribute to an extensive asset and project library, ensuring consistent organization, ease of access and redundancy


  • A college or university diploma/degree or equivalent experience with a focus on CGI, post-production and animation
  • Work experience within the automotive sector
  • Extensive knowledge and experience using rendering software such as Keyshot, VRED and/or Unreal Engine and post-production software such as Photoshop, LightRoomAfter Effects or Nuke
  • Experience with 3D modelling of vehicles and automotive components with software such as CATIA, NX, SOLIDWORKS, 3ds Max or Blender 
  • Mechanical/engineering aptitude or experience is an asset
  • Strong creative and visual skills
  • Experience in photography, videography, or graphic design would be an asset.
  • The ability to work both independently and cooperatively while balancing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Attention to detail, ensuring outputs are lifelike, meet design requirements and all brand standards and are approved by all necessary stakeholders before release.
  • Adhere to established processes and procedures to effectively manage projects.
  • You may be required to travel within Canada.
  • Handle/maintain sensitive information and data in strict confidence and with discretion.

Compensation will be based on qualifications and experience.
