Manufacturing Quality Engineer

Position Overview:

Multimatic is a global automotive supply company providing hardware and engineering services to OEMs around the world. 

Multimatic Niche Volume Assembly is looking for a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to ensure the quality of manufactured products, processes, create documentation and monitor quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the quality team to determine quality metrics for all manufacturing processes.
  • Set guidelines and testing criteria for Goods-in and Process inspection.
  • Work with internal teams to increase customer satisfaction by improving the quality of all products.
  • Investigate and report on process malfunctions and identify corrective actions.
  • Control the Quarantine Log and participate in the DMN process.
  • Liaise with process engineer to keep all production process up to date.
  • Arrange and track all internal process audits.
  • Monitor and track staff training keeping al documentation up to date.
  • Share and promote the objectives contained in the ”Presidents Message” with all staff
  • Support and encourage KAIZEN and Gear activities.
  • Train, coach and assist department personnel in the development of continuous improvement ideas and solicit GEAR activities from staff to meet corporate goals.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews for department personnel minimum annually.
  • Submits training needs to HR as determined from departmental needs and employee evaluations.
  • Maintain all training records.
  • Follow all general procedures where applicable as indicated in the GENERAL PROCEDURES section of the level II Procedure manual.
  • Ensure that all personnel are working in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Basic Requirements: An appropriate blend of education and/or experience ideally within the automotive industry

  • Experience in ISO 9001or IATF quality systems
  • VDA 6.3 and VDA 6.5 auditor qualifications and or PSCR experience an advantage.
  • Previous experience of FARRO and CMM systems would be highly desirable.
  • Capable of organising and managing priorities, business equipment and problem-solving techniques.
  • In depth understanding of technical documentation
  • Ability to interact with all levels of employees in a multicultural organisation and provide direction and leadership.
  • Must possess good social and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft business products.
  • Must understand manufacturing and logistics processes.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Full driving license
  • Have a passport and be willing to travel as required.
