SUMMARY

Act as a liaison between the Quality and Manufacturing groups.  Audit, enforce, and train other associates on all aspects of the quality policy.  Should be self-directed and work well with minimal supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand the use of Metrology tools (Scales, Micrometers, Calipers etc.)
  • Understand Inventory management systems (hand-held scanners)
  • Understand how to fill out Inspection Datasheets, Hold tags, & other digital forms
  • Be able to perform Destructive testing and measure weld dimensional characteristics.
  • Be able to perform mechanical Push-out tests on welded nuts.
  • Be able to perform Tessonic testing (capture data)
  • Be able to measure & evaluate Mig & Spot Welds (Capture data)
  • Should have a general knowledge of production processes, how parts are produced, and the impact on the customers.
  • Quarantine and hold non-conforming materials (use inventory management).
  • Support sorts of non-conforming material as necessary to aid in disposition.
  • Assist with running any extra testing required as part of the validation process after quarantine.
  • Supports problem-solving and corrective action activities.
  • Ability to perform first off and last offs using check fixtures.
  • Support new Quality Alerts
  • Gage all parts and understand gage instructions.
  • Identify any issues and report the issue professionally.
  • Assist the Quality Manager and Quality Engineer as assigned.
  • Work OT on short notice
  • Quality auditor knowledge will be applied in all zones and support of peer auditors.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

A High School diploma or GED.  Minimum two (2) years of general or specific experience in this field preferred. Must possess or attain a basic level of competency with MS Excel in support of the documentation this position interacts with.

The employee is frequently required to stand, sit, walk, use hands to feel or handle objects, tools, or controls; reach and lift with hands and arms; talk, see, and hear.  The employee may occasionally be required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

The employee may need to be available during off hours if needed and have the flexibility to work various shift hours and/or extended hours if needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near machinery and moving parts.  The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

Photography is not permitted in the facility unless it is for business purposes and authorization is granted to Multimatic Personnel by the department manager or general manager. Visitors are not permitted to take any photographs on the premises unless authorized and supervised by the Multimatic program manager or General Manager. All photography must be stored on Multimatic Multimedia proprietary devices or networks. Photos transmitted outside of the building to customers or suppliers must include a confidentiality note.
