  • Scope of Position:

  • Key Responsibilities 
  • maintain accurate timesheets
  • follow all ISO 9001 procedures
  • maintain job book/job folder
  • attend meetings as required
  • consider alternative solutions for given tasks or problems
  • observe all company safety rules, policies, and procedures
  • ensure adequate communication with other program team members
  • attend all required training courses
  • participate in MAMT’s continuous improvement activities
  • foster good employee relations
  • keep supervisor informed of all program issues
  • ensure that the customer’s requirements, which include project timing, are understood, and met
  • be responsible for all parameters of assigned tasks
  • review project direction with Project Leader
  • ensure the shop environment is kept safe, clean, and organized to enable timely and safe manufacturing techniques
  • perform all other duties as determined by the General Manager or his designate

 Key Relationships

Lead Hand/Project Leader - relay information concerning timing, quality, and design concerns                 

Quality Assurance Technician - reviews critical characteristics

                                                        -  ensures quality of product

Engineering Department- Must be able to communicate with engineers for specific needs.

  • Basic Requirements:
  • Brake press experience/part fabrication an asset, must be comfortable in a shop environment.
  • Experience with design software an asset ie- Solidwords, Keycreator, Fusion 360
  • Able to navigate file folders on the computer/ IT skills a must
  • GD&T/part print reading an asset
  • Organizational skills/ time management a must
  • Must be physically capable
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to work under pressure and work overtime when required. Ability to meet deadlines.
  • must be familiar with ISO 9001 procedures
