Multimatic Special Vehicle Operations is an expanding division of Multimatic Inc.
Responsibilities:
Lead builds for IMSA/WEC GT3 production race cars
Install engine, plumbing of oiling systems, cooling systems, A/C system, transaxle installation, brakes, suspension components, wiring, electronics, etc.
Support production manager with assembly, quality control and timelines of car builds
Communicate with manager, sub-assembly and parts department for necessary parts to complete car builds
Work efficiently to keep car builds on schedule
Give guidance to other assembly mechanics as needed
Recognize and communicate potential improvements for safety, quality of product and time of car completion
Keep track of parts for specific car assemblies
Follow safety guidelines, standards and company procedures
Qualifications:
Have experience building and/or maintaining race cars in IMSA, WEC, IndyCar, F1 or NASCAR
Have knowledge of engine, brakes, suspension, oiling, cooling, fuel systems and other mechanical installations and assemblies
Must have knowledge of metric, imperial, aircraft hardware and experience with the necessary tools for installation, assembly and torquing of hardware
Basic computer skills (email, Excel, Word), able to open/read assembly prints and files
Be organized and keep the assembly area safe and clean
This work requires quality, consistent work and flexibility under critical time deadlines. It may require extended hours and some work on the weekends depending on the timelines.
Requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work in tight spaces (e.g., the interior of a car), work under car on jack stands.
