POSITION SUMMARY:
The Financial Analyst will assist the Controller in the assessment of company performance by studying and analysis of financial and operational data. They will be expected to act as a catalyst in the continuous improvement process by supplying analytical support to the operational areas.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in preparing month-end reports (AR, Inventory, Controller’s Comments)
Maintain accurate inventory & project costing, including fixed assets management
Monthly reconciliation of all AR-related GL accounts
Review total cost management and perform variance analysis of OH accounts.
Assist in preparation of year-end audit package and actively participate in the preparation of the annual budget and reforecast
Identifies financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.
Analyze short- and long-term cash flows and assess financial performance
Ensure payments are processed in a timely manner
File monthly HST and quarterly UK VAT
Work closely with Program Managers on program updates
Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Within two years of completing CPA designation
Have a minimum of two years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, automotive parts manufacturing facility is a definite asset
Are capable of and possess above-average written, analytical, and oral communication skills.
Are computer literate, with an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel), and experience working with a menu-driven accounting package
University or College Degree in Finance/Business
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to converse with associates at all levels
Strong organizational skills
Knowledge of manufacturing, overhead application, costing principles, inventory management, and controls is an asset
Knowledge in SAP is an asset
