Position Overview:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Stores and Dispatch Manager to lead, motivate and develop the stores and dispatch team to ensure the timely and efficient movement of goods, control of material and accurate record keeping.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily activities of stores, purchasing and dispatch, driving a culture of continuous improvement
  • Plan and prioritise the daily operations of the departments
  • Provide regular feedback to employees, carry out performance reviews and ensure all training and skills are up to date.
  • Implement and maintain effective processes to carry out stock counts and end of year audits
  • Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications, dealing with any issues as they arise
  • Liaise and assist engineering with procurement of products i.e., tooling block
  • Compile and maintain purchase records, a supplier database and procurement contracts 
  • Assist and liaise with engineering on final dispatch of finished product to the end customer
  • Plan and implement processes for continuous improvement opportunities within stores, purchasing and dispatch
  • Support and adhere to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to established quality management system (ISO 9001 2015)
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping

Basic requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a Stores / Dispatch Management role
  • Excellent computer skills, specifically Microsoft Excel
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills
  • Good interpersonal skills / relationship building
  • Exceptional organisational skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Commitment to achieving deadlines
  • Understanding of Quality Management System ISO9001 2015


  • Experience of implementing/managing an MRP system
  • Experience of leading and managing a multiskilled team
  • Forklift Licence
