Scope of role:
Provide all departments with safe , well maintained equipment, while ensuring quality and ability to meet production requirements in a timely manner.
Key responsibilities:
Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults using Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Electrical Skills.
Diagnose root causes of equipment breakdowns
Fit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly
Keep machinery at a correct standards
Liaise with other departments and other engineering and production colleagues
Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment
Carry out planned, reactive and predictive maintenance to ensure continuous running of machinery
Work with specialist equipment, such as programmable logic controllers (PLC), which control machinery on factory assembly lines
Responsible for completion of necessary paperwork including work orders / time sheets / shift handovers
Assist in the implementation of continuous improvement suggestions on the production line
Fill out parts used forms in tool crib to ensure stock levels remain correct
Responsible for maintaining a clean tidy and organized work area (5s standard)
Complete assigned standard work activities.
Participate in continuous improvement program
Key areas of Authority:
Ensure the Areas of the Business Plan are met in accordance with the framework of the company
Follow company procedures and policies as stated in the employees hand book
Stop any process where safety or quality issues are identified
Basic Requirements:
Apprentice or company Trained with Mechanical & Electrical Knowledge
Must be able to interact with all levels of employees within a multicultural environment.
Understanding of IATF16949 requirements and procedures would be an asset.
Ability to read, write and speak English.
Experience in Pneumatics, Hydraulics and Mechanical systems
Basic Electrical & plc knowledge
Computer literate including microsoft word / excel
