The Position

We are looking for an Industrial Millwright to join our team. The successful candidate will report to the Maintenance Manager be responsible for ensuring our automotive manufacturing facility has safe, well-maintained equipment to meet production requirements .

 

Key Responsibilities

As an active member of the maintenance team, the Millwright/Industrial Mechanic will be required to troubleshoot and repair a variety of pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems and tools.  The successful candidate will be expected to support maintenance personnel with regard to electrical, PLC programming, or other maintenance-related needs as required, including modifying line programs and die wiring.

Successful candidates in this role will have a high regard for safety and follow the standards of  QS9000, TS 16949 and ISO14001. Having exposure to the principles of continuous improvement techniques and Kaizen are a definite asset.

 

Requirements

  • Licensed Millwright/Industrial Mechanic
  • At least 5 years of experience working with industrial equipment such as heavy stamping presses, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, automation / robotics, and with troubleshooting PLC programming
  • Solid skills in machine-shop and MIG/TIG welding 
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing requirements
  • Ability to interact with all levels of employees in a multicultural organization
