Multimatic Ride Dynamics (MRD) is one of the newest of Multimatic’s North American divisions. Multimatic Ride Dynamics is looking for a Material Handler who will provide materials to the assembly lines on a timely basis. Perform duties in a productive, safe, and team-oriented manner to enhance the company's efficiency and profitability.
Responsible for unloading profile material from trucks.
Responsible for returning material to inventory.
Responsible for emptying full scrap containers.
Responsible for picking inventory and lot control using bar code scanner.
Responsible for assigning lot numbers to unidentified material.
Ensure that the forklift checklist is adhered to and completed.
Ensure that the work area and machinery is clean and safe at all times.
Follow all departmental and general procedures.
Backup shipping and receiving function as required.
Perform cycle counting and inventory activities as required.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
Education and Experience:
Completion of a high school diploma.
Minimum of three years experience as a material handler with a valid forklift license.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to operate any and all equipment if necessary.
Warehouse and material movement experience (in automotive an asset).
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
