Multimatic C-Mech is seeking a Quality Warranty Systems Engineer to provide leadership and being accountable for quality systems, procedures and services for all departments within the division. This position will report directly to the Quality Manager of the facility.

Scope of Position
This position is responsible for the quality systems and ensure conformances to latest standards in Quality, Environmental and OEM regulations as well as proactively develop and improve systems, procedures process maps to meet business demands. It is also to ensure that all Procedures, Job Instructions, Forms and Specifications documents are controlled and on an ongoing basis monitor/audit systems, procedures and warranty data showing measured continuous improvements to KPI’s.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for downloading Customer Warranty data via emails, Customer Web Sites and portals. Establish proactive communications with customers
Provide timely, accurate and appropriate responses to customer warranty claims
Summarize and report warranty findings by customer. Reports to be developed that clearly exhibit positive and negative trends in a concise fashion aligned to both internal and external customer requirements
Analyse warranty data trends. Provide regular ongoing communication with the senior management team
Obtain as necessary customer warranty returned parts for analysis, root cause investigation providing recommendations related to cause and resolution.
Lead the investigation, implementation and documentation of permanent corrective actions for warranty claims in participation with Engineering, Production, Process, Program Management, Quality departments and suppliers
Communicate with internal and external suppliers for warranty issues
Verify corrective actions at Supplier location as required
Responsible to input findings into the Multimatic DMN system
Review, improve and develop quality systems/procedures that conform to Corporate, Customer and other Government regulations in relation to automotive business practices
Lead and develop systems to audit process, procedures and business systems in accordance with IATF audit frequency requirements
Lead LPA or similar audit practice to improve quality systems that exceed customer requirements
Provide GAP analysis and action plans related to audit findings that ensures timely resolution of open items
Perform CQI-15 Welding assessment and CQI-14 Warranty assessment
Lead and support in implementation of QMS IATF 16949, External audits and customer audits GM BIQS and Ford Q1 assessment, etc.
Plan, schedule and conduct internal QMS IATF 16949 and LPA audits.
Provide monthly compliance Quality Systems reports related to all quality services to the senior management team
Organize document structure, maintain, follow and review accuracy of document control process.
Record retention, Assigning and Revising Form Numbers
Coordinate and communicate best practices across all divisions globally on an ongoing basis.
Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree or college diploma from an accredited institution (Quality/Mechanical/Manufacturing/Engineering related field preferred) or previous relevant manufacturing experience.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Automotive Manufacturing, Quality related preferred
Must possess excellent knowledge of IATF, ISO and OEM quality systems
Certified IATF 16949:2016 Lead Auditor preferred
Must possess excellent knowledge of automotive warranty systems
Extensive knowledge of CQI-14 and CQI-15 is required
Process/Quality Engineering experience would be a definite asset
Excellent knowledge and understanding of APQP, PFMEA, root cause investigation and PPAP’s
Understanding Automotive Core Tools (Advanced Product Quality Planning & Control Plan (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Measurement System Analysis (MSA) preferred
Good computer skills including knowledge of MS project, Excel, Word and others.
Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings
Knowledge of IATF16949 / ISO 14001 systems
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to effectively interact with suppliers and various departments in a multicultural global environment
Must be able to travel
Ability to read, write and speak English with excellent communication skills
Should be familiar with blueprint reading and dimensional tolerances
