Trim and Assembly Technician

We are currently recruiting for a number of Composite Trim & Assembly Technicians to join our team producing high quality parts for motorsport and the premium automotive industry.  This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established International Composites company, with the role being able to offer variety as well as career and development opportunities.

Working in a team environment you will work on a range of parts.  You will need to read and understand engineering drawings/build manuals and use your Trim & Assembly skills to carry out the scope of work required.  You will also need to utilise your skills to query any error or change that you may observe on any job. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Being knowledgeable and well versed in the handling of composite materials.
  • Fitting & Trimming of Composite Components for projects in the Motorsport/F1 & Aerospace industries requiring strong attention to detail, cost & quality.
  • Carrying out work in adherence to technical drawings, internal, external specifications & build instructions as appropriate, ensuring accuracy and process documentation.
  • Bonding and trimming assemblies in accordance with defined standards and processes.
  • Follow build manuals and quality control processes.
  • Fabricate templates and jigs to facilitate assembly, trimming and bonding.
  • Resolution of quality issues as they arise.
  • Compliance with all health and safety and PPE requirements.

Essential Requirements:

  • Comfortable using common hand tools and air tools.
  • Able to interpret basic instructions via detailed drawings & build manuals.
  • Able to work to tight tolerances with an understanding of engineering drawings.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate shift work if required.
  • Be able to work in a team as well as solo.
  • Comfortable working to tight time frames with demanding quality requirements.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise your workload & be able to keep calm under pressure.


  • Experience in the composite industry.
  • Basic understanding of composite component construction.
  • Experience in auto body repair and finishing.


We work in an ever-changing environment with demanding customers, safety critical structural products and complex composite components, so we need a Composite Technician who is flexible, reliable, hardworking and who is heavily motivated by achieving high standards in composite manufacturing.

Job type: Full Time, Permanent

Working hours: 8-hour shifts, either 7.00am – 3.30pm or 4.00pm – 12.30am
