POSITION SUMMARY:
Multimatic is a global automotive supply company providing hardware and engineering services to OEMs around the world. Its UK based engineering division, Multimatic Electronics Systems (MES), is a leading supplier of electronics and vehicle development services to major automotive OEMs and a growing number of niche vehicle manufacturers.
We are seeking to recruit an EE Chief Integration Engineerwith strong vehicle architectural and module integration knowledge and skills to lead the growing team delivering OEM, motorsport and niche vehicle projects within Multimatic. We need someone who can both lead these activities from the front, whilst also being happy to get involved in the detail.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cross functionality EE technical lead to a team of dedicated engineers to successfully carry out full niche vehicle development and production programs
Be the EE lead in meetings with customers, suppliers, managers and other section leaders and engineers
Planning and overseeing the building of lab cars, HiL and test rigs required to carry out the development, testing and validation of electronic modules on both component and whole vehicle electrical systems
EE lead in the physical building and running of:
Show cars
Engineering prototypes
Validation prototypes
End of line test rigs
Production cars
Legislative validation and certification
Component and vehicle level functional safety
Component and vehicle sign off for production
Vehicle type approval
LV & HV system commissioning
Automotive CAN architecture management and CAN networking fault diagnosis
Creation and implementing detailed DVP engineering timing plans
Liaise with third party test houses and other relevant suppliers with the booking of relevant tests
Assist in the development of project plans including timing and deliverables
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
University degree in Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, Measurement and Control or Computing engineering
Experience in whole vehicle electrical systems testing, commissioning and homologation
Exposure in vehicle level EMC testing & EMI fault diagnosis
HiL and Lab car build and testing
ISO standards 26262, 16750 & 16949
Whole vehicle electrical module integration
HV testing and commissioning
EDS validation testing and commissioning
Automotive CAN architecture management and CAN networking fault diagnosis
Hands on experience with diagnostic tools such as Vector CANayzer, CANoe, Softing Monaco and ETAS.
Exposure to ISO 14229 Road vehicles -- Unified diagnostic services tools and disciplines
Overall knowledge of the automotive and related electronics industries
