Multimatic is a privately held, global enterprise supplying engineered components, systems and services to the automotive industry. The company’s core competencies include the development and manufacture of complex mechanisms and body hardware, suspension systems and body structural components as well as the design, engineering and development of light weight composite automotive systems. We are located in Markham, Ontario and we are currently seeking a SharePoint System Administrator, with specific expertise in JIRA / Confluence environment.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The SharePoint System Administrator position is part of the Multimatic IT team and will be responsible for managing aspects of our SharePoint Online and JIRA/Confluence environments, including design, availability, reliability, performance, monitoring as well as user training and support. Other responsibilities will include supporting the development of key IT Automation initiatives leveraging AIOps platform.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with our IT teams and business partners to gather requirements, design and implement collaboration and project management solutions within our existing SharePoint Online and JIRA/Confluence environments
Work with our IT automation specialists to help define, build and deploy new process automation solutions within IT Operations leveraging AIOps platform
Research and implement industry best practices for SharePoint Online and JIRA/Confluence
Support the rollout and onboarding of new teams to the SharePoint Online and JIRA/Confluence environments
Support the day-to-day administration of our SharePoint Online environment, including the following
Responsible for the day-to-day support of all components of the SharePoint Online environment, site provisioning, permissions management, list, library and web part configuration as well as other system administration tasks
Monitor SharePoint analytics reports that measure usage and performance
Provide guidance, support and training to end users, content managers, site owners and support staff
Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint system and content problems and escalate incidents as required
Support the day-to-day administration of our existing JIRA/Confluence environment, including the following
Manage all aspects of the JIRA/Confluence environment including workflows, custom fields, schemes, add-ons, dashboards and integrations
Create and organize new projects on the JIRA platform, as well as configure the layout, design, workflow, and dashboards
Provide JIRA subject matter expertise in regards to JIRA governance and security
Provide support for JIRA add-ons such as Scriptrunner automation
Create, customize, and maintain dashboards and advanced filters for end user reporting capabilities
Create and maintain technical and/or user facing documentation and support training for key end users as required
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
Broad technical knowledge on administration activities for both SharePoint Online and the Atlassian suite of products (JIRA/Confluence)
Experience working with Scriptrunner for JIRA
Experience customizing JIRA workflows, setting up dashboards, and generating reports
Basic SQL and JQL query experience
Experience with Java, JavaScript, Groovy scripts
Experience with developing SharePoint Online sites / pages, SharePoint Designer, SharePoint Framework, Web Parts and workflow creation
Good front end/CSS skills and experience
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate to end users, teammates, and management
Critical thinker with the ability to diagnose problem areas and recommend solutions
Ability to learn new information quickly and a passion for researching industry best practices and how they can benefit Multimatic
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related field
3+years of experience as an IT System Administrator supporting SharePoint Online and JIRA/Confluence environments
Microsoft SharePoint and Atlassian certifications are an asset
