Accounts Assistant - Accounts Payable 

 MTCE is an automotive engineering company.  We design and manufacture dampers for race and road cars, build low volume cars and chassis’s, provide ride and handling tuning programs, and manufacture mechatronic systems such as adjustable ride height systems and deployable wing mechanisms. 

Location: MTCE, 20 Fison Way, Thetford, Norfolk, IP24 1HJ

To maintain accurate, timely and reliable A/P records.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Invoice processing (matching to purchase order or miscellaneous payables), obtaining authorisation where necessary.
  2. Maintenance of the AP ledgers (Vouchered & Un-Vouchered).
  3. Dealing with supplier calls & resolving any supplier queries in a timely manner.
  4. Preparation of payment runs in liaison with the Senior Accounting Assistant.
  5. Set up vendor payments and beneficiaries in BIB.
  6. Maintenance of all paid A/P filing.
  7. Chairing weekly AP meeting to monitor the status of AP accounts (Vouchered & Non Vouchered) & DMN’s.
  8. Weekly AP meeting with Stores department.
  9. Maintenance of everyday invoices spreadsheet.
  10. Providing cover for accounts receivable position and assisting during busy periods.
  11. Notification of payment receipts to relevant personnel.
  12. Control of the petty cash.
  13. Maintain a list of delivery costs and prepare month end accrual as appropriate.
  14. Provide cover for reception if required.
