Located in Markham, Ontario, Canada, Multimatic Niche Vehicles North America (MNVNA) is the facility, responsible for the production of the Ford GT supercar.

Position Overview:

The Service Specialist is responsible for assisting dealership technicians to resolve issues, oversee and perform updates on customer Ford GT vehicles. The Service Specialist is required to travel to various dealerships and apply expert knowledge to assist dealership technicians. The Service Specialist reports directly to the Service Manager and General Manager of the assembly facility. To qualify for this position, you must be able to travel out of country (i.e. valid passport) for up to a week at a time, on short notice.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work in a safe and responsible manner, following safety procedures in an automotive environment
  • Comprehend the description of issues or services needed on customer vehicles
  • Participate in determining the type of service required on customer vehicle
  • Communicate technical expert knowledge to dealership technicians to aid in the resolution of issues related to customer vehicles
  • Communicate skilled knowledge for various updates on customer vehicles to dealership technicians
  • Follow build manuals and quality control processes
  • Consult on and resolve quality issues as they arise

Education and Experience

  • Mechanic 310S certification is an asset
  • Ford IDS knowledge is an asset, but not required
  • Flexible schedule, able to accommodate service calls as they arise
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in the automobile industry, includes diagnosis, repair, and service of automobiles
  • Excellent communication and customer relation skills
  • Must be motivated with extreme attention to detail
  • Able to interpret instruction via detailed drawings / instructions
  • Can work independently once given direction
  • Basic computer skills are required, familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Experience in basic fabrication
  • Experience in manufacturing environments
  • Experience in training co-workers
