Multimatic is a global enterprise supplying engineered components, systems and services to the automotive industry. Multimatic Indiana - New Haven is a company facility located in Fort Wayne, manufacturing specialized, high-strength steel structural components for automotive OEMs.
Multimatic Indiana - New Haven is seeking a number of CNC Programmers/Machinists for all three shifts. Successful candidates will maintain CNC equipment and be responsible for programing and set-up of various 3-axis CNC machines. Duties will also include support of all preventative maintenance programs within an automotive environment. Typical machined materials include aluminum and steel parts, and production tooling components for the automotive industry.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Programming CNC code from provided CAD data utilizing Mastercam X software
Setting up appropriate machining tools, offsets and materials as required
Operating CNC machines and verifying finished components as required
Interacting with Design Engineers/Project Leaders/Toolmakers/Apprentices to develop manufacturable components with an eye for product improvement and potential build issues
Ensuring that the customer’s requirements, which include project timing, part quality and delivery, are understood and met
Ensuring the shop environment is safe, clean and organized to enable timely and safe manufacturing techniques
Observing all company safety rules, policies and procedures
Qualifications and Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:
Associates degree from a technical university or equivalent years of experience
Minimum 3 years of experience on 3D cad/cam system
Minimum 5 years' knowledge of metal cutting and machining processes
Strong problem-solving techniques
Production tooling experience an asset
Ability to read and interpret blue prints
