Shopfloor Supervisor

Reporting directly to Business Unit Manager and liaising with Program Manager on a regular basis the Shop floor Supervisor will ensure the smooth running of all activities on the SPP/MNVA shop floor. This will be achieved by clear communication of expectations, monitoring, and appraising of performance; coaching, and disciplining production staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Co-ordinate and track product builds to ensure timely delivery to customer.
  2. Evaluate production performance
  3. Deal with all production staff related issues including performance reviews and disciplinary issues.
  4. Perform incoming and outgoing goods inspection
  5. Inspect and maintain all production relevant quality records and processes
  6. Maintain and manage production material requirements in conjunction with purchasing
  7. Deal with quality and safety issues on assembly lines.
  8. Maintain and review preventative maintenance.
  9. Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel production staff.
  10. Review customer quality concerns and resolutions in conjunction with Program Manager and Process Engineer.
  11. Liaise with Program Management to provide feedback on product design and production feasibility issues.
  12. Supports and adheres to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to established quality management system (TS 16949).
  13. Maintains working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.
  14. Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

MANAGERIAL / SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:

Directly leads production staff. Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with Multimatics policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. 5 Years working experience as a supervisor in a production environment
  2. Must have understanding of quality and inspection processes.
  3. Ability to interact with all levels of employees in a multicultural organization and provide direction and leadership.
  4. Must have understanding of manufacturing and logistics processes.
  5. Computer literacy including a knowledge of Microsoft excel
  6. Ability to read, write and speak English
