Multimatic Indiana - Butler manufactures fully engineered, high-quality components, assemblies and systems such as bumpers and chassis/body structural components for high-volume OEMs as well as niche vehicle manufacturers. Multimatic Indiana - Butler uses advanced, proprietary roll- and hot-form manufacturing processes.
Multimatic Indiana - Butler is looking for an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to be responsible for manufacturing process development for new product introductions, and participating in and leading projects targeted towards improving cost, quality, delivery, and safety.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, document, and implement manufacturing methods needed to produce new products
Design and implement manufacturing tooling to improve workplace safety, workstation ergonomics, operator productivity and product quality
Review engineering changes and take appropriate measures to ensure all product documentation for the affected operations (methods, BOM's, test procedures, etc.) are updated to support the change prior to release to production
Analyze, report and optimize production cost structure
Develop and implement changes in operational workflow as needed to improve and accelerate the flow of product through the facility
Plan, manage, track and report capital and expenses related to projects
Participate in DFMEA review, facilitate PFMEA and DFM reviews
Develop, document, implement and update standard operating procedures across all areas of responsibility
Identify, define, document and share best manufacturing engineering practices
Support the development of global manufacturing engineering standards
Partner with internal resources to develop capable equipment suppliers
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (advanced degree preferable)
6 – 9 years' experience in related engineering discipline, project management, or direct customer support experience
Experience with automated high-volume welding, stamping, roll- and hydro-forming processes
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of design and development experience dealing with structural vehicular components
Experience with lean manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement project implementation
Experience with 3D design software
A strong modeling and/or tool design background is a plus
