Company Overview:

Part of Multimatic’s Structures & Suspension group, Multimatic Tennessee has been producing a range of automotive structural components, including instrument panel (IP) beams and rocker panel braces, since 2016.

Position Overview:

Multimatic Tennessee is seeking a Maintenance Technician (off shift) to maintain manufacturing equipment and building facilities, and support all preventative maintenance programs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:       

  • Work with various types of electrical controls, controllers, plant power and circuits
  • Assist technical services in machine repair, changeover, set up and operation as required
  • Perform all preventative maintenance requirements as scheduled
  • Other duties may include, but not be limited to, electrical, ventilation, plumbing, carpentry, lighting, welding etc.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma and 5 years’ experience preferred
  • Knowledge of robotic systems and welders. Yaskawa Robotic experience a plus
  • Ability to assemble and disassemble tooling, gauges
  • Ability to schedule time, materials and equipment required to perform tasks, and to properly use and complete required forms
  • PLC Alan Bradley Software

Physical Demands:

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • The associate is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to feel or handle objects, tools or controls; reach and lift with hands and arms; talk, see and hear.  The associate is required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.  The associate is required to rotate their torso and view behind them to operate required equipment
  • The associate may frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may occasionally be required to perform repetitive work tasks
  • The associate may need to be available during off-hours if needed and assist in emergency situations.  The associate must have the flexibility to work various shift hours and/or extended hours if needed
