Part of Multimatic’s Structures & Suspension group, Multimatic Tennessee has been producing a range of automotive structural components, including instrument panel (IP) beams and rocker panel braces, since 2016.

Position Overview:

Multimatic Tennessee is seeking a Maintenance Technician (2nd shift) to maintain manufacturing equipment and building facilities, and support all preventative maintenance programs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:       

  • Work with various types of electrical controls, controllers, plant power and circuits
  • Assist technical services in machine repair, changeover, set up and operation as required
  • Perform all preventative maintenance requirements as scheduled
  • Have abilities to assemble and disassemble tooling, gauges
  • Other duties may include, but not be limited to, electrical, ventilation, plumbing, carpentry, lighting, welding etc.
  • Ability to schedule time, materials and equipment required to perform tasks, and to properly use and complete required forms
  • Knowledge of robotic systems and welders. Yaskawa Robotic experience a plus
  • PLC Alan Bradley Software

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma and 5 years’ experience preferred

  • The associate may frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may occasionally be required to perform repetitive work tasks
  • The associate may need to be available during off-hours if needed and assist in emergency situations.  The associate must have the flexibility to work various shift hours and/or extended hours if needed

Work Environment:

  • The environmental characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job
  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate frequently works near moving parts
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud
  • Associate may be subject to temperature extremes for extended periods of time
