Multimatic Product Services (MPS) specializes in providing product engineering and account management support internally to the business units and externally to the customer base. MPS is looking to fill an IT Technical Services vacancy in its Southfield/Novi, Michigan facilities. This position serves as the local support point of contact and is responsible for hardware, server, network and software requirements, while supporting the technical infrastructure, security, and service desk needs of the team and accompanying business/office processes.
The IT Technical Services position will report to the VP, Sales and Marketing, with a dotted line to the Global Technical Services Manager, or their nominee(s), and will work closely with both to ensure working hardware and servers, implement future projects, facilitate remediation of identified issues, ensure hardware and software is up-to-date and available for new hires.

Provide technical assistance to users
Support and/or resolve computer problems for users that are in office or remote
Provide hardware and software acquisition recommendations, including helping users assess needs and providing justification for equipment and/or services
Install, configure, and provide ongoing support for the divisional Local Area Network (LAN), and VMWare server environment
Maintain computer inventory and monitor local hardware/software ensuring life cycle refreshes
Maintain yearly IT budgets
Investigate and/or support outage investigations and response activities
Participate and/or lead project information gathering, requirements and analysis
Work with senior-level network support personnel and client server specialists on implementing new corporate rollouts of hardware/software
On-call requirement with some after-hours/weekend work when required
Desired Qualifications / Experience:
College Diploma/Degree or equivalent education is required
Excellent English communications skills, both written and verbal
Proven customer service excellence with a focus on internal customer satisfaction
Able to work alone or within a team, with an excellent attendance record
Proven ability to prioritize tasks to ensure quick turnaround, and minimal costs
Familiar with CAD software (Solidworks, Catia, Cadkey)
Must have at least a working knowledge/support of the following:
VMWare virtual server environments
Windows 7/10, Microsoft Server 2008/2012/2016
Active directory/WSUS/Patch Management
MS Exchange 2010, 2013, 2016
Microsoft Outlook 2010, 2013, 2016.
Microsoft Office 2010, 2013, 2016.
Microsoft SQL/My SQL Server a plus
Must have good PC hardware skills – system upgrades etc.
Must be familiar with HP desktops/laptops
Hands-on experience with networking hardware – I.E. Cisco switches
Preference will be given to those who are legally able to work in the U.S.A. without sponsorship
Familiarity with Avaya phone systems is a plus
Preference will be given to internal Multimatic candidates.
