Multimatic's Niche Vehicle Assembly Europe (MNVAE), located in Coventry UK, is a world-class facility responsible for the production of future bespoke vehicles, and is currently seeking a Automotive Painter to join our team.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

Multimatic Niche Vehicles Europe is seeking enthusiastic and mechanically inclined individuals for the position of Automotive Painter. These individuals will be part of a core team working on the assembly of bespoke niche vehicles. Reporting to a Senior Assembly Technician, and working within an exciting and dynamic vehicle development and engineering facility, you will be responsible for the on wheels preparation and paint repair, and finish detailing of complete vehicles.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare components for coatings using various preparation methods
  • Maintain paint prep tools including the spray facility
  • Mask appropriate areas as required
  • Inspect components during processing stages
  • Consult and resolve quality issues as they arise
  • Prepare components for coatings using various preparation methods
  • Mix Apply coatings to composite components using various spray methods
  • Maintain paint spray tools including the spray facility
  • Use body repair materials and methods for composite components
  • Clean the interior and exterior of the vehicle
  • Wet-sand and polish components utilizing various buffing techniques
  • Maintain polishing tools and materials
  • Follow work instructions and quality control processes
  • Follow all established safety procedures
  • Training will be provided as required

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 

  • Experience in auto body finishing and repair
  • Ability to interpret basic written instructions
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Monday – Friday day shift
  • Experience in manufacturing environments in an asset
  • Ability to paint and spot repair is an asset
  • An understanding of composite component construction is an asset
