Industrial Electrician

Position Overview:
Multimatic Manufacturing is the original production facility of Multimatic Inc. and a leading supplier of hinges, door checks and innovative user-convenience products (such as Multimatic’s StepGate™ or BoxSideStep™) to the North American automotive industry. Multimatic Mfg. uses flexible production systems that allow rapid product changeovers, helping drive manufacturing efficiency.
Multimatic Mfg. is seeking an Industrial Electrician who can help maintain equipment used within the division. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for providing production departments with safe, well-maintained equipment, while ensuring quality and the ability to meet production requirements in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that all associated lighting and power equipment is in proper working order, meeting all codes and company procedures
- Performing electrical work including repairs on all equipment and machinery as required, including backup to assembly line programs, creating and modifying a line program and die wiring
- Responsible for completion of necessary paperwork including work orders/time sheets/log-board entries/line-book revisions as required, in a timely manner
- Assisting in the implementation of continuous improvement suggestions on the production line
- Ordering parts and following the parts-received procedure
- Performing routine preventive maintenance
Basic Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Licensed Industrial Electrician
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Automotive Industry
- PLC programming
- Ability to interact with all levels of employees in a multicultural environment
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- We need (1) Day, (1) Afternoon, and (2) Night Shift
