Purchasing Administrator/Receptionist

Position Overview:

Multimatic Dynamic Suspensions (MDS) is one of the newest of Multimatic’s North American divisions. It is a supplier of suspension parts and welded assemblies to the automotive industry, manufacturing front and rear lower control arms, links, stabilizer bars and various welded assemblies in a modern 240,000 square foot facility.

Multimatic Dynamic Suspensions is looking for a Purchasing Administrator/Receptionist who will be responsible for providing support to the MRO Buyer and carrying out reception duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist MRO Buyer with conflict mineral data collection.
  • Distribute MRO Purchase Order’s to Finance, Purchasing, and Vendors.
  • Process electronic requisitions and convert approved ones to PO’s
  • Enter PO’s into SAP for signatures/hyperlink and ensure that RFQ log is current.
  • Mail out Purchase Orders as requested.
  • Maintain MRO filing system.
  • Maintain Supplier Performance Database for active MRO suppliers.
  • Provide Production Purchasing Admin backup as required. ie: Keep Bidlist file up-to-date and functioning efficiently, issue RFQ / update NDA folder, issue supplier profile package to potential suppliers and obtain response, and send bailment forms and follow up with pictures for tooling tags.
  • Answer and direct all incoming calls. This includes taking messages where necessary.
  • Receive and direct all visitors. This includes the administration of the visitor log and visitor tags, placing greetings as required, and providing requested refreshments in the boardroom and/or General Manager’s office.
  • Distribute all incoming mail.
  • Maintain the ongoing order for office supplies. Place the orders in a timely manner. Distribute supplies upon arrival.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of one year experience in manufacturing industry.
  • Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet, and MRP concepts.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in order to enable amicable vendor and interdepartmental relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills relative to telephone manners and written reporting.
  • Strong problems solving abilities.
  • Highly conscientious; must be detail oriented.
