Automotive End-of-Line Technician

Position Overview
Located in Markham, Ontario, Canada, Multimatic Niche Vehicles North America (MNVNA) is part of the Multimatic Engineering Group, and is the new, world-class facility responsible for production of the 2017 Ford GT.
MNVNA is seeking an Automotive End-of-Line Technician to be part of an elite team responsible for production of the Ford GT supercar. Reporting to the General Manager in an exciting and fast-paced vehicle production facility, you will perform a variety of tasks to maintain production levels and quality standards by installing, programming, diagnosing and/or repairing vehicle electrical systems and electronic modules following manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints and other specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Programming and configuring vehicle modules for specific customer modes and country regulations
- Troubleshooting electrical wiring harness, connector and sensor issues
- Correcting root cause of Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) prior to vehicle shipment
- Ensuring wiring harness routing is correct as per diagrams
- Verifying vehicle circuit function prior to shipping
- Maintaining documentation and software levels for all vehicle modules
- Following ISO 9001 and TS16949 manufacturing requirements
- Consulting on and resolving quality issues as they arise
- Progress reporting and meetings with management and quality teams
Education and Experience:
- Able to read and interpret wiring schematics
- Comfortable with OBDII/ISO 15765 CAN-bus communication and networking
- Understanding of device HEX addressing and messaging
- Experience in automotive electrical troubleshooting (preferably Ford systems)
- Understanding of vehicle sensor signals and electronics
- Knowledge of Ford DET Software is an asset
- Familiarity with CANalyzer/Vector software and hardware is an asset
- Able to use a voltmeter, basic Ohm’s Law
- Soldering and wiring repair
- Familiarity with wire-pin crimping tools
- Knowledge of automotive wiring standards
- Able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment; meet tight deadlines
- Day shift with schedule flexibility to accommodate occasional overtime and some weekend hours
- Basic computer skills are required, familiarity with Microsoft Office is an asset
- Experience in manufacturing environments is an asset
