Position Overview:
Multimatic Niche Vehicles North America (MNVNA) is seeking to recruit a Junior Accounting Assistant that will provide support in preparing financial reports, maintaining accounts payable and receivable and updating financial statements to support decision making and strategic initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Must have strong organizational skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reporting and Analysis

- Assisting in the preparation of month-end financial reporting
- Preparing and submitting weekly and monthly financial reports
- Adding and updating financial data in databases
- Revenue & Receivables
-
- Preparing invoices
- Aiding in the revenue reconciliation process with major customers
- Tracking receivables using relevant software (ePayables)
- Maintaining and updating revenue archives
- Purchasing & Payables

- Processing a high volume of vendor invoices (involves data entry, includes related parties)
- Processing vendor debit notes for quality and delivery issues
- Support processing vendor payments (EFT, wire transfers and cheques)
- Liaising with other departments for issue resolution (Receiving)
- Performing regular Aged Payables Reports and taking appropriate action
- Preparing and analyzing supplier reconciliations
- Resolving unallocated received goods and services
- Updating and maintaining vendor records in the ERP system
- Maintaining and updating payables archives
- Intercompany

- Preparing intercompany transactions
- Reviewing and reconciling intercompany transactions
- Ad Hoc & Other

- Aiding more senior team personnel in gathering evidence for audits
- Performing other accounting related duties, as required
Education, Skills & Experience:
- University or College degree in Finance
- Minimum of 1 year of related accounting experience (manufacturing environment is preferred)
- Experience using Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
- Knowledge of SAP is an asset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
- Discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Sound understanding of financial and accounting practices and principles
- Fast typer (30+ WPM)
