Test Lab Technician
Location: Multimatic Dynamic Suspensions, East Gwillimbury, Ontario, Canada

It is a supplier of suspension parts and welded assemblies to the automotive industry, manufacturing front and rear lower control arms, links, stabilizer bars and various welded assemblies in a modern 240,000 square foot facility.
Position Overview:
Multimatic Dynamic Suspensions is looking for a Test Lab Technician who will be responsible for executing the planned activities within the test lab and to ensure timely and accurate completion of necessary tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for routine tests and interpretation of corresponding test specifications.
- Receive and record test requests and corresponding test tracking systems.
- Test setup with the help of CAD model, setup photos.
- Program accordingly, run tests, identify any issues from test system and test specimen.
- Ensure proper documentation including data process, photograghing, test summary and PPT report, etc.
- Proper inventory of corresponding test fixtures.
- Check for fixture soundness.
- Proper inventory of tested samples with proper record in inventory log.
- Basic troubleshooting for issues from test equipment and testing.
- Communicate with test requester for any questions and concerns.
- Timely reporting to test manager for any concerns from test, equipment, or safety related issues, etc.
Education and Experience:
- Completion of a recognized university program with engineering designation (mechanical/electrical preferred) or equivalent.
- Ability to use Solidworks, read electrical schematic, sufficient in office softwares such as Excel, PPT, etc.
- Willing to take on additional responsibility and/or work additional hours if required.
- Positive job attitude.
- Self-motivated, open mind, and willing to learn.
- Hands-on and detail oriented.
- Machining skill preferred.
- Ability to successfully interact with all levels of employees.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
