Receptionist

Location: Multimatic Ride Dynamics, Newmarket, Ontario, Canada

Position Overview:

Multimatic Ride Dynamics (MRD) is one of the newest of Multimatic’s North American divisions. Multimatic Ride Dynamics is looking for a Receptionist  who will be responsible for providing support to the Purchasing and Finance departments and carrying out reception duties.

Plant Location: Multimatic Ride Dynamics - 1100 Stackhouse Road, Newmarket, ON, L3Y 8E4, Canadaa

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer and direct all incoming calls. This includes taking messages where necessary.
  • Receive and direct all visitors. This includes the administration of the visitor log and visitor tags, placing greetings as required, and providing requested refreshments in the boardroom and/or General Manager’s office.
  • Distribute all incoming mail.
  • Stamp all mail with the date received.
  • Date stamp and sort all incoming invoices. Deliver to accounts payable on a daily basis.
  • Enter and match production invoices in SAP.
  • Email and mail customer invoices and file on a daily basis.
  • Send out customer AR statements. 
  • Assist in Cash Application as required.
  • Assist in filing/maintenance of tooling and capital binders.
  • Oversee the distribution of intercompany mail.
  • Maintain the ongoing order for office supplies. Place the orders in a timely manner. Distribute supplies upon arrival.
  • Assist MRO receiving, MRO/Spot PO creation.
  • Follow all departmental and general procedures where applicable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager and/or Department Manager.
  • Abide by all company safety rules, responsibilities, policies, and procedures including the legislative requirements of the OHSA.
  • Work in compliance and conform to the Environment and ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 standards.
  • Adopt and practice Kaizen principles; participate in Kaizen and GEAR activities.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of one year experience in manufacturing industry.
  • Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet, and MRP concepts.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in order to enable amicable vendor and interdepartmental relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills relative to telephone manners and written reporting.
  • Strong problems solving abilities.
  • Highly conscientious; must be detail oriented.
