OVERVIEW
:

Multimatic is a privately held, global enterprise supplying engineered components, systems and services to the automotive industry. The company’s core competencies include the development and manufacture of complex mechanisms and body hardware, suspension systems and body structural components as well as the design, engineering and development of light weight composite automotive systems.

This Network Administrator position is responsible for designing, installing and supporting the organization’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), network segments or Internet segments. Also responsible for maintaining network hardware and software, analyzing problems and monitoring the networks to ensure availability to system users. Finally, the Network Administrator will plan, coordinate and implement network security measures, including firewalls and other secure technologies. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a highly dynamic environment, either individually or as part of a team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Help develop, design, implement and maintain policies and procedures, focusing on providing 100% uptime of our global network infrastructure.
  • Recommend and provide solutions and recommendations on emerging network products, services, solutions and standards.
  • Install or help install new network hardware and software on a global level.
  • Ongoing configuration and maintenance of network services, equipment and devices.
  • Help manages the core network system backup and restore protocols.
  • Monitor network performance and suggests, implement performance tuning.
  • Manage Wi-Fi infrastructure and software.
  • Performs network lead functions as well as working with global technical staff.
  • Ensure the 24/7 network uptime for all WAN/LAN levels.
  • Provide root-cause analysis for all network related outage events that impact uptime.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • University Degree or Diploma in Computer Science with 2-3 years in related field
  • Cisco CCNA certification
  • Cisco Firepower
  • Knowledge of network monitoring tools
  • Minimum 1 years working experience within a VMware environment
  • Minimum 3 years working experience with Microsoft AD environment & WAN/LAN/WI-FI/VPN technology
  • Telephony technologies – PRI and VOIP
  • Experience in ticketing system usage

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:  

  • Office environment; 15% travel required to local Multimatic office/production locations
  • Hybrid
