Position Overview

The Multimatic Mechanisms Group manufactures high-quality closure hardware systems for all vehicle applications. With facilities in North America and Europe, and representation in all major markets, the Multimatic Mechanisms Group is a world-class full service supplier providing stamped, profile, cast and forged hinge systems for all applications including door, hood, trunk, liftgate/decklid and sliding doors, as well as closure-checking, -assist and power devices.

Scope of Position :

To ensure that all Procedures, Job Instructions, Forms documents are controlled. (DCC)

Key Responsibilities and Authorities:


(DCC)

  1. Issue best Practices: Procedures/job instructions/forms to all HSG divisions DCC.
  2. Review documents submitted for distribution and ensure that they conform to existing protocols.
  3. Maintains document revision summaries.
  4. Assign and Revise form/procedure numbers, and update the appropriate indexes
  5. Maintain/update department procedure and job instructions (ref. H:DCCManual)
  6. Maintains Tag Binder.
  7. Maintain Anton archive room.
  8. Document Distribution for Approval through e-mail, and maintains records of such distributions.
  9. Control, issue for approval all new/updated procedures to all Hinge Systems Group divisions (Multi &Anton & Eu-Matic)
  10. Provide training to employees on the use of current software in order to obtain access to Divisional documents.
  11. Maintain Internal Reference Manuals.


 (Bill of Material)

  1. Maintain SAP item master
  2. Issue new part numbers as required
  3. Create and verify bill information as required
  4. Ensures Die/Stamping/Raw Material data is accurate (SAP output)
  5. Create new work centers, location codes and sales product codes as required
  6. Work in a safe manner at all times
  7. Adopt and practice Kaizen Principles and Concepts
  8. Participate in Kaizen and GEAR activities
  9. Follow all general procedures where applicable as indicated in the General Procedures section of the level III Procedure manual.
  10. Follow All Departmental General Procedures as well as procedures for this position as indicated in the level III Procedure manual.
  11. Process ECN’s
  12. Process MM050 forms once fully approved
  13. Responsible for IMDS input/updates for new and existing programs
  14. Distribute Program Open issues list on a biweekly basis
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.
  16. Work in compliance and conform to TS16949 and ISO14001 standards.

Basic Requirements and Competencies:

  1. Minimum grade 12 or equivalent
  2. Familiar with MRP system in an Auto Manufacturing environment would be an asset.
  3. Previous experience in document control would be an asset.
  4. Familiar with QS9000/TS 16949 requirements.
  5. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
  6. Detail-oriented.
  7. Capable of working with little or no supervision.
  8. Able to train others in the use of current division Computer Software and DCC system.
  9. Knowledgeable on Computer Software and related equipment. i.e. scanner/printers/copiers
  10. Ability to successfully interact with all levels of employees in a multicultural environment.
  11. Ability to read, write and speak English
