SUMMARY
This position is primarily a clerical role who develops, implements, maintains the Quality Management System (QMS) consistent with established standards, customer specifications and production goals. Work with various departments to ensure compliance with our QMS requirements and customer quality requirements. Effectively interact with all the various departments and promote quality improvement throughout the organization and awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Audit procedures and processes for compliance with established and documented practices
- Schedule and co-ordinate quality and environmental internal systems and manufacturing process audits
- Review the audit results with auditors and auditees
- Follow up on corrective actions with responsible manager(s) to ensure that the corrective actions are effective
- Engage in various operations activities as required (i.e. action plans, CAR’s)
- Report to top management on the performance of the quality management system and any need for improvement
- Ensures that processes needed for the QMS are established, implemented and maintained
- Responsible for document change control (DCC) as per established procedures as well as updates to maintain the systems that are suitable to standards and practices
- Responsible for orientation training on basic quality system concepts and DCC functions for users
- Lead LPA system in planning, analysis and report monthly results to Management
- Assist Quality Manager and Engineers in PPAP and Engineering Changes
- Keep track of customer portal on daily basis for Quality issues and report to Quality Manager
- Assist in training and also maintaining a training matrix in Quality Department
- Assist other departments on various quality, 6S, KPI’s & KPO’s and Kanban activities as needed
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education and/or Experience:
- Above average skill using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word & PowerPoint: 1 year (Preferred)
- Prior experience with Quality Management System: 1 year (Preferred)
- Familiarity with IATF 16949 (formerly known as TS 16949) and ISO 9001: 2015: 2 years (Preferred)
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four year college or university in a technical field, or six years manufacturing quality experience.
- 2 years additional experience in a Quality Supervisor or managerial position for an automotive supplier in the metal processing field is required.
- Qualifications to include technical, analytical and judgmental knowledge of current quality control methods employed by engineering and manufacturing.
- Must be able to travel.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquired or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis for variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factor analysis.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to develop logical detailed plans aimed at continuously improving quality levels and quality systems.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near machinery and moving parts.
