Machine Shop Apprentices

Position Overview
Multimatic is a global automotive supply company providing hardware and engineering services to OEMs around the world. Its UK-based engineering division, Multimatic Technical Centre Europe (MTCE), is a leading supplier of engineering and vehicle development services to major automotive OEMs and a growing number of niche vehicle manufacturers. Specialties include suspension systems, vehicle dynamics, carbon fibre structural components, mechanisms and mechatronics.
MTCE is looking for Machine Shop Apprentices, enthusiastic individuals who would like to learn while they earn, completing an Engineering Apprenticeship. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced team members in our world class machine shop learning different aspects of the workshop operation whilst attending day release to college.

Key Responsibilities:
- Learning from experienced operators
- Attending college and completing work to a high standard
- Machine minding – (operating and checking) production of parts to engineering drawings
- Metal polishing / deburring and finishing components
- Preventative maintenance of machines - basic maintenance – checking lubricants and general wear and tear and reporting findings.
- Adhere to health and safety rules as applicable
Basic Requirements:
- Must have GCSE level 5 pass in Maths and level 4 in English
- Self-motivated and disciplined in your approach.
- Able to work as part of a task oriented team
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to handle multiple tasks competently and accurately
