Operations Assistant

Multimatic is a global automotive supply company providing hardware and engineering services to OEMs around the world. Its UK-based engineering division, Multimatic Technical Centre Europe (MTCE), is a leading supplier of engineering and vehicle development services to major automotive OEMs and a growing number of niche vehicle manufacturers. Specialties include suspension systems, vehicle dynamics, carbon fibre structural components, mechanisms and mechatronics.
MTCE is seeking an Operations Assistant who will work to ensure the adequate running of daily functions and support the business as a whole. Daily tasks and responsibilities are shared amongst the team and all members work to support each other with their tasks, as well as supporting members in other departments by ensuring their projects and requirements are reaching given targets. Must be able to work as a part of team in a fast-paced and pressured environment, communicating effectively with colleagues and following verbal and written instructions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creation of purchase orders and recording goods inwards/outwards using internal system.
- Ensure checks to verify stock levels for re-ordering are accurate and appropriate.
- Take delivery of goods, and check off in an accurate and timely manner.
- Update internal system to reflect accurate stock count and inventory.
- Check, count and raise internal process cards accurately for the incoming parts and process it through to quality assurance.
- Assist with stock checks when required, and keep stores clean and tidy.
- To lock/unlock stores and be available to work until late (as and when required).
- Loading and off loading vans - some heavy lifting is necessary.
- Packing crates and boxes for export shipment.
- Process paperwork from the previous day and deliver it to the required office.
- Raise delivery notes and arrange shipments to customers as required.
- Work closely with the accounts team to quickly solve invoice queries and provide relevant back up.
- Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations
- Plan and track the shipment according to customer requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years of experience in an operational role
- Basic knowledge of shipping incoterms, and ability to raise shipping documents for exports.
- GCSE or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of Word and Excel
- Ability to read, write and speak English
