Damper Technician

Position Overview:
Multimatic is a global automotive supply company providing hardware and engineering services to OEMs around the world. Its UK-based engineering division, Multimatic Technical Centre Europe (MTCE), is a leading supplier of engineering and vehicle development services to major automotive OEMs and a growing number of niche vehicle manufacturers. Specialties include suspension systems, vehicle dynamics, carbon fibre structural components, mechanisms and mechatronics.
MTCE is seeking a Damper Technician to work in the production of Multimatic DSSV™ dampers and other suspension components.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble DSSV dampers to production specifications using information from GA drawings and procedures.
- Test DSSV production dampers using Dynamic Suspension software, interpret results and make adjustments to achieve pass criteria.
- Assemble hydraulic components to production specifications using information from GA drawings and procedures.
- Test production hydraulic units using DynasoftMX software.
- Assemble brake and steering mechanical components to production specification using information from GA drawings and procedures.
- Ensure build sign-off paperwork is completed.
- Rework and prepare component parts when required using machining and fabrication equipment.
- Work in a safe manner at all times.
Basic Requirements:
- Machining and fabrication experience would be an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of MS Windows
- Engineering certification or equivalent
- Basic mechanical assembly experience.
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
