Graduate Mechatronics Software Engineer

Multimatic Technical Centre Europe (MTCE) is based in Thetford, Norfolk and is part of Multimatic’s Engineering Group. MTCE provides advanced design, simulation, testing and prototyping services to Multimatic’s production divisions and to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s), niche vehicle manufacturers, motorsports organizations, military equipment contractors and consumer product companies.
Position Overview:
MTCE is seeking to recruit a Graduate Mechatronics Software Engineer who will support in the development of electronics hardware that controls electro-mechanical automotive components, such as automotive powered closure systems, adaptive/active suspension systems, powered aerodynamic devices.

Key Requirements:
- A minimum 2:1 BEng or BSc in software, electrical or mechatronics engineering
- Experience of Microsoft Visual Basic 6, Visual Studio.Net, Embedded C
- Excellent report writing and results interpretation skills, including presentations
- Passionate about the automotive or motorsports industries
- Flexibility to work on a variety of tasks as and when required
- Driven to achieve world class results in a high tempo environment
- Flexibility to work on a variety of tasks as and when required
- Ability to work to all relevant company guidelines and procedures
Desirables:
- A year spent in the industry Exposure to tools such as MathWorks’s Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow or Labview
- Some practical electrical / software experience from hobbies or projects outside of university
- Experience with Software Configuration Management for version control
- Exposure to Vector Tools such as VFlash, CANalyzer or CANoe
