Tool Crib Attendant

Multimatic Inmet manufactures fully engineered, high-quality components, assemblies and systems such as bumpers and chassis/body structural components for high-volume vehicle manufacturers.

Position Overview:

Multimatic Inmet is currently looking for a Tool Crib Attendant who will be responsible for maintaining inventory of all MRO items in the tool crib, ensuring that critical parts are available when required, and that the SAP system is accurate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Check and maintain inventory of tool crib items
  • Keep track of what parts to order. Update inventory in SAP
  • Keep track of stock items on shelf and in SAP.
  • Enter new parts in SAP and categorize by location number, bin number and internal division part number. Send releases to MRO after checking inventory.
  • Provide list of items to order to MRO based on stock levels
  • Receive parts in SAP against the purchase orders.
  • Participate in Physical Inventory counts as required
  • Participate in Kaizen and GEAR activities.
  • Work in compliance with IATF16949, ISO 14001 & all legislative requirements of the OHSA
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years administrative experience, in a high volume manufacturing facility
  • 2 years purchasing experience required
  • Advanced Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills
  • Computer experience in MRP system (SAP preferred)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience opening and closing work orders
  • Strong communication skills, must speak, read & write fluent English
  • Experience managing inventory min/max levels
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Experience matching paper work to parts received
  • Experience managing suppliers for backorders, expedite orders and sourcing & re-sourcing products
  • Experience liaising with Contractors and in-house personnel to coordinate PM activities
  • Must be flexible with working hours
  • Self-Motivated and work under limited supervision
