Cycle Counter

Multimatic Anton is a leading supplier of hinges, door checks, and innovative user-convenience products (such as Multimatic’s Tailgate) to the North American automotive industry. Multimatic Anton. uses flexible production systems that allow rapid product changeovers, helping drive manufacturing efficiency.
Multimatic Mfg. is looking for a Cycle Counter who will assist in the Purchasing Department.

Key Responsibilities :
• Count parts on a daily basis
• Maintain inventory tracking system
• Responsible for M2K moves in and out of the inventory system
• Analyze any quantity discrepancies between floor count and computer records
• Report any shop floor problems regarding tagging, misplacing etc. of material to appropriate department heads
• Report to MRP Coordinator weekly for inventory tracking system status updates
• Operate a forklift truck and overhead crane for inventory of raw material and parts
• Assist in yearend physical inventory and other inventory counts as required
• Assist in offsite counts
• Assist in auditing of various parts
• Work in a safe manner at all times
• Adopt and practice Kaizen Principles and Concepts
• Participate in Kaizen and GEAR activities
• Follow all general procedures where applicable as indicated in the GENERAL PROCEDURES section of the level III Procedure manual.
• Follow all DEPARTMENTAL GENERAL PROCEDURES as well as procedures for this position as indicated in the level III Procedure manual.
• Perform other duties as assigned
Basic Requirements :
• Have basic arithmetic skills
• Be familiarized with computerized scale operation
• Be able to work with minimum supervision
• Detail-oriented
• Ability to successfully interact with all levels of employees in a multicultural environment.
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Forklift operating experience, license preferable.
• The candidate would work the AFTERNOON SHIFT
