Multimatic Indiana - Butler is looking for a Materials Coordinator who will report to the Materials Manager and be responsible for providing materials support to achieve safety, quality, productivity and delivery to assure internal and external customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Responsible for using internal procedures to perform the following

◦Prepare shipping documents (ie. BOL’s, shippers, load sheets, etc.)

◦Prepare bar code labels for shipments

◦Process material receipts according to procedures.

•Responsible for packaging related items

◦Entering and maintaining packaging information in customer portals

◦Verifying customer packaging floats and maintaining Multimatic customer supplied dunnage inventory

◦Maintain internal packaging in SAP

◦Oversee container maintenance

◦Initiating and auditing packaging instructions

◦Using fleet calculators to determine internal and external fleets

◦Ordering all cardboard required for the plant

•Other responsibilities as assigned

RELATIONSHIPS

Reports directly to the Materials Manager. Interfaces on a frequent basis with Production, Operations, IT and Quality. Also interfaces on an as needed basis with HR, Finance, Engineering and Maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Must have proficient PC skills, including the ability to create and interpret spreadsheets and word processing documents. Current experience working with materials management software is required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associates Degree in related field or equivalent experience, with a minimum of three years’ experience in materials working in an automotive manufacturing environment preferred.

•Good computer skills. Ability to use Microsoft Office software.

•Ability to assume responsibility and corresponding authority and accountability. Results oriented.

•Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.

•Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
