Multimatic Motorsports Europe is currently seeking to recruit CNC / Manual Machinists reporting to the Fabrication Supervisor. Within this role you will be required to perform a diverse range of tasks involved in manufacturing parts to the highest professional standards for all current programmes.

Multimatic Motorsports Europe operates a ‘works’ race team fielding a pair of Ford GTs in the LMGTE class of the FIA World Endurance Championship (including Le Mans) on behalf of Ford Motor Company. Entered under the Ford Chip Ganassi Racing banner, the team is a division of Multimatic Technical Centre Europe (MTCE). Aside from providing engineering and product-development services to Multimatic’s own manufacturing facilities worldwide, MTCE is a leading contract engineering and vehicle-development resource to major OEMs, motorsport teams and a growing number of niche-vehicle manufacturers.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
As a Machinist you will be expected to take on the responsibility for:
- Producing machined parts as required, while maintaining standards of accuracy and finish.
- To program, set and run CNC lathes and if necessary CNC Mills using Fanuc and Fanuc based programming (DMG Mori, Hardinge and Haas, XYZ PROTOTRAK ).
- Responsible for writing programs, setting including 1st off verification before quality control inspection and running the relevant machines to produce precision components from engineering drawings.
- Planning, coordinating tooling purchase to support each component and ensure gauges are requested if required.
- Working to tight prototype lead times, you will have the ability to program, set, prove out and machine complex components in aluminium, titanium, stainless and steel materials.
Education & Experience Requirement:
- Minimum 5 years in a similar production environment role. Ideally in the automotive sector.
- Apprentice trained and to have completed a HNC or equivalent.
- Able to work at pace & multitask/prioritise workloads.
- Strong communicator at all levels, both face to face & over the telephone / email.
- Understanding of Manufacturing Process.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Use and experience of Cad Cam systems would be useful.
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
