Multimatic Indiana - Butler is looking for a Accounts Payable Clerk who will report to the Plant Controller and be responsible to maintain, process and monitor payments/expenditures for the Butler Division.  This position requires the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial and operational data, assist in efforts to identify cost reduction and productivity recommendations by partnering with the plant leadership team and other functional areas. Accounts Payable Clerk must also have the interpersonal skills to successfully collaborate with others, including vendors to ensure compliance with meeting customer requirements and timely processing of payments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Printing, processing and matching invoices
  • Keying payments and journal entries into SAP system
  • Calculating and verifying accuracy of vendor transactions
  • Resolving A/P issues with vendors and internal staff
  • Proper allocation of charges
  • Maintain and update vendor records
  • Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in accounts payable or accounting-related position
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good computer skills, including data entry, Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Introductory-level accounting courses are an asset
  • Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision
  • Ability to work in a busy environment
  • Accuracy of work

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting or other relevant discipline
  • 1-3 years experience with AP processes (desired) in a manufacturing environment
  • SAP experience is desirable.
