Quality Engineer

Position Overview:

Multimatic Niche Vehicles Europe (MNVE) provides engineering, product development, component manufacturing and assembly to U.K. based Automotive O.E.M.’s and has established a strong relationship with midlands base car manufacturer Aston Martin. MNVE is also a leading supplier of vehicle chassis & body systems to the major automotive sector and smaller niche vehicle manufacturers.

MNVE currently seeks a Quality Engineer responsible for maintaining the operations of the quality department and reporting status of quality issues in the organisation as well as those suppliers that provide product to MNVE. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Supplier Quality Audits and assist in supplier development
  • Follow up on supplier quality issues
  • Review supplier PPAP submissions and submit for approval.
  • To investigate root cause analysis of non-confirming products both internally and externally. 
  • Prepare or revise PFMEA’s and Control Plans.
  • Provide Assistance to Project Managers during VP builds
  • Perform duties of Quality Technician (QA03) when the need arises
  • Data Analysis of CMM Inspection Reports
  • Work in a safe manner at all times.
  • Follow all departmental general procedures as well as procedures for this position as indicated.
  • Perform other duties as and when requested
  • Develop Processes and Procedures for the Quality Department and other areas of the business when requested

Basic Requirements:

  • A degree or HND in engineering or extensive experience within an engineering field such as Automotive, or Motorsport
  • Experience of VP builds, and NPI, creation of Part Quality Standard documentation, Process manuals, Quality Control Plans, ISO9001:2015, TS16949 / IATF16949:2016
  • A strong background and knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and composite materials and associated production processes
  • Flexible approach to work tasks, and working hours
  • Strong organisational, analytical, communication skills, able to work well under pressure taking on new challenges, good time management, able to work harmoniously in a team environment or as an individual
  • Proficient with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office programs, experience using JT, Rhino, PolyWorks, and Geomagic software would be advantageous
  • UK driving Licence

Interpersonal communication skills would be a bonus, as are the ability to read, write and speak English is necessary. Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United Kingdom, (EU), hold a valid driver’s license, valid passport and be prepared to travel internationally when required.
