Quality Assurance Technician

Position Overview:

Located in Markham, Ontario, CanadaMultimatic Niche Vehicles North America (MNVNA) is part of the Multimatic Engineering Group, and is the world-class facility responsible for production of the Ford GT supercar.

Multimatic Niche Vehicles North America (MNVNA) is seeking to recruit a Quality Assurance Technician to maintain and continuously improve the company's quality system, ensure the timely flow of high-quality product from raw material to finished goods, as well as the proper handling of non-conforming material.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting automotive parts to ensure the parts meet all standards of supplied parts quality
  • Act as an impartial third party between the production source and the supplier facility to ensure the product meets set criteria
  • Study product specifications and work instructions
  • Perform visual inspections, mechanical, and functional verification of parts to ensure compliance to set specification and quality standards
  • Make independent judgments for subjective calls
  • Collect and record accurate data regarding defects
  • Tag and isolate defective material
  • Provide description or justification for defective material
  • Communicate sort/inspection results to respective departments
  • Comply with relevant local Health and Safety legislation and company Health and Safety Policies
  • Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data
  • Participate in problem-solving and root cause analysis

Education and Experience:

  • Quality relevant or Technical college certification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate, prioritize and multitask
  • Demonstrated flexibility within a fast-paced challenging environment
  • Ability to take initiative and recognize needs as required
  • Handle highly sensitive and confidential material
  • Minimum of 3 years automotive experience, OEM(s), Tier 1 & Tier II. With good understanding of fit and function and assembly processes with technical competencies
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Sound knowledge of ISO 9001 and QMS
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Understanding of structured quality problem solving tools and documentations
