Quality Assurance Technician

Position Overview:
Located in Markham, Ontario, Canada, Multimatic Niche Vehicles North America (MNVNA) is part of the Multimatic Engineering Group, and is the world-class facility responsible for production of the Ford GT supercar.
Multimatic Niche Vehicles North America (MNVNA) is seeking to recruit a Quality Assurance Technician to maintain and continuously improve the company's quality system, ensure the timely flow of high-quality product from raw material to finished goods, as well as the proper handling of non-conforming material.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspecting automotive parts to ensure the parts meet all standards of supplied parts quality
- Act as an impartial third party between the production source and the supplier facility to ensure the product meets set criteria
- Study product specifications and work instructions
- Perform visual inspections, mechanical, and functional verification of parts to ensure compliance to set specification and quality standards
- Make independent judgments for subjective calls
- Collect and record accurate data regarding defects
- Tag and isolate defective material
- Provide description or justification for defective material
- Communicate sort/inspection results to respective departments
- Comply with relevant local Health and Safety legislation and company Health and Safety Policies
- Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data
- Participate in problem-solving and root cause analysis
Education and Experience:
- Quality relevant or Technical college certification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to coordinate, prioritize and multitask
- Demonstrated flexibility within a fast-paced challenging environment
- Ability to take initiative and recognize needs as required
- Handle highly sensitive and confidential material
- Minimum of 3 years automotive experience, OEM(s), Tier 1 & Tier II. With good understanding of fit and function and assembly processes with technical competencies
- Must have reliable transportation
- Sound knowledge of ISO 9001 and QMS
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Understanding of structured quality problem solving tools and documentations
