Director of Total Compensation and HR Systems

Company Summary:

Multimatic Inc. is a privately held Canadian corporation headquartered in Markham, Ontario, supplying components, systems and services to the global automotive industry.  Multimatic's core competencies lie in the manufacture of stampings, welded assemblies, mechanisms, and suspension components, as well as the design and development of automotive body/chassis systems. 

Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, this position is responsible for the design, development, implementation and improvement of all aspects of the Global compensation, benefits, and retirement programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will have had a minimum of 10 years of experience in challenging HR management roles. The preferred experience would include working in environments that include these features: small, mid to large size organization, and global exposure with respect to Total Rewards.

Technical Requirements:

  • University degree in a related area preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in the design, build and implementation of competitive compensation programs at all levels of an organization
  • Proven experience in the employee pension and benefits field in numerous regulatory environments (planning, design forecasting, cost-benefit analyses, administration, vendor management)

Soft-Skill Requirements:

  • Highly organized
  • Able to juggle multiple assignments with different deadlines
  • Consistently proficient, detailed-oriented, and accurate in his/her work
  • Think on your feet
  • Comfortable with Ambiguity
  • Strong project management skills
  • Relationship builder

Software experience:

  • Involvement with, and exposure to, at least one full HRIS implementation
  • Strong Excel skills
